Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) has initiated a new project that will contribute to the intellectual capital within social sciences in Azerbaijan. The project seeks to train at least 20 participants as potential researchers and support them in the publication of scientific articles in high-ranked international academic journals.

The director of the UNEC Empirical Research Center, Associate Professor Khatai Aliyev, told AZERTAC that the "Researchers of the Future" project, financed by the UNEC Research Foundation and implemented by the UNEC Empirical Research Center, has started. Within the project, 57 UNEC students were selected and involved in a 32-hour online training delivered by Nijat Muradzada, the deputy director of the Center and a doctoral candidate at the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom.

The project aims to increase the interest in scientific research among UNEC students, to equip them with the necessary research skills, and to enable them to write research articles under the supervision of academic mentors.
