Azerbaijan Ground Transport Agency (AYNA) within the framework of measures to increase the quality of passenger transportation service, the capital's intra-city No. 54, inter-settlement No. 167 and 196, suburban No. 186, 217, 508 and 557, Baku-Aghdash, Baku-Shirvan, Baku-Shabran, Baku- Gabala, Baku-Kurdemir, Baku-Aghjabedi, Baku-Shamakhi, Sumgait-Guba, Gusar-Khudat intercity, as well as Lachin city-Zabukh village regular bus routes within the region are competing.

It was reported that the competition is based on the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Automobile Transport", approved by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 3, 2009 No. 52 "On regular intra-city (intra-district), inter-city (inter-district) and international passenger transportation by automobile transport" is organized in accordance with the "Rule" for holding a competition on the involvement of carriers.
According to the conditions of the competition, priority is given to vehicles equipped with special devices and equipment for the comfortable boarding and disembarking of citizens with disabilities. Besides the main buses, backup vehicles should also be submitted to the competition.
Bidders' proposals were approved by the commission on January 9 for 4 lots in Baku-Aghdash, Baku-Shirvan and Sumgait-Guba directions, on January 12 for 4 lots in Baku-Shabran and Baku-Gabala directions, Baku-Kurdemir, Baku-Aghjabedi and Baku- On January 16 on 5 Lots in Shamakhi directions, on January 19 on 4 Lots on Gusar-Khudat, Lachin city-Zabukh village, as well as on bus routes Nos. 167, 186 and 196 of the capital, as well as regular bus Nos. 54, 217, 508 and 557 4 Lot on bus routes will be reviewed on January 23.
