ICRC contacted families of 996 missing persons in 2023

During January-June of this year, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) contacted the families of 996 missing persons related to the conflict, Report informs.

 

In a briefing held by the ICRC for media representatives, it was noted that during six months, 24 visits (in 11 detention centers) were carried out to assess the detention conditions of prisoners, their treatment and to provide support to contact their families. At the same time, through 13 Red Cross Letters, contact was established between the people who were forced to stay in the Middle East and their relatives in Azerbaijan.

 

In addition, 1,500 warning signs were donated to the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) to mark mined areas.
