Baku Boulevard is planned to be extended and it will reach more than 25km in length with high-quality public landscaping by 2040. Green spaces in the city will be also significantly increased,” said Azerbaijan’s Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev.
According to him, when designing residential areas, the area of green spaces should make up not less than 40 percent of the allocated territory, and at least 25 percent when renovating existing settlements.
"If this is not possible, the overall balance of green spaces should be ensured through other projects planned for implementation in border or nearby areas,” the minister noted.
