On April 19, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov on the margins of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

During the meeting, the ministers hailed the dynamic development of Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan relations across all areas at the level of strategic partnership and discussed joint efforts to further develop the friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries.

The sides reviewed joint activities and projects aimed at further expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment, transport, energy, culture, and humanitarian spheres.

The importance of mutual support and collaboration within international and regional organizations, including the UN, the Organization of Turkic States, the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as other regional platforms, was emphasized.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on regional developments and other issues of mutual interest.
