“Azerbaijan is an important country in the region,” Member of the Board of the Caspian Policy Center Richard E. Hoagland told AZERTAC.
“Azerbaijan can play an important regional role as it has been doing recently in the Caspian region. That's terribly important. Azerbaijan became a member of the C5. It's now the C6. So, it shows that Azerbaijan is an important country in the region. And that's the role that I hope Azerbaijan will play, a leading country in the Caspian region,” he noted.
Noting that the Board of Peace is still in the very early stages of development, Richard Hoagland mentioned that it was originally going to be for helping to rebuild the Gaza Strip, adding that it might eventually replace the United Nations regarding the conflict resolution,” he added.
