The Milli Majlis Commission on Countering Foreign Interference and Hybrid Threats has issued a statement addressing an ongoing information campaign targeting Azerbaijan.

The Commission, building on its August 6, 2025, announcement, reports that a disinformation campaign, originating from a neighboring country, has continued throughout August on the Azerbaijani segment of the “Facebook” platform.

This campaign, characterized by provocative and misleading content, is centrally coordinated and executed through newly created pages, including “Caspian Xəbər,” “Caspian Times,” “Işıq Media,” “Pro Eminent Guild,” “Next Azerbaijan,” and similar outlets.

The statement emphasizes that attempts to interfere in Azerbaijan’s information space for geopolitical purposes are being effectively countered through collaboration with relevant state authorities.

Additionally, following appeals to Meta, all pages involved in activities against Azerbaijan have been deactivated.

The Commission calls on citizens to remain cautious, avoid trusting false information, and report encounters with similar social media pages to the Milli Majlis at [email protected].
