Belarus’ government resigns

The government of Belarus has resigned, according to Belta.

In line with the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, the government resigns following the presidential election. The resignation document was signed by Roman Golovchenko.

The document comes into force on the day of its adoption. The turnout of first-time voters exceeded 95% at the 2025 presidential election in Belarus.

More than 44,000 national and 486 international observers monitored the presidential election in Belarus. The presidential campaign was monitored by 44,361 national and 486 foreign (international) observers from 52 countries, including the election observation mission of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the election observation mission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, observers from the Pan-African Parliament, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, representatives of central election authorities of 17 foreign states, as well as experts in the field of electoral law and technology. The CEC of Belarus accredited observers from 17 countries of Europe, 15 countries of Asia, 9 CIS countries, 7 countries of Africa, 4 countries of the American continent.
