Azerbaijan is fighting against France's colonial policy, MP Tural Ganjaliyev said at an international conference in Baku on "Independence of Reunion: A Look at France's Colonial Heritage and Path to Sovereignty," Report informs.
According to Ganjaliyev, today history is approached with political and cultural arrogance:
"Although we oppose France's colonial policy, we respect its culture. Azerbaijan has geniuses who were influenced by and known through French culture. France should stop its arrogant policy towards other states."
