Georgian Foreign Minister pays tribute to National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani martyrs

Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili of Georgia visited the Alley of Honors and Alley of Martyrs in Baku on Thursday.

Maka Botchorishvili first paid her respects and laid a wreath at the tomb of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder and architect of the modern independent Azerbaijani state.

She also placed flowers at the grave of the prominent ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

The Georgian FM then commemorated the Azerbaijani heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and territorial integrity and laid flowers at their graves. She also visited the Eternal Flame monument.
