Azerbaijan’s Economy Ministry, Latvia’s State Revenue Service ink MoU
Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, met with Edgars Skuja, Latvian Ambassador to the country.
The sides underscored the importance of developing bilateral economic ties, exchanging views on identifying new avenues for collaboration.
The meeting also saw the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy and Latvia’s State Revenue Service on exchange of information and assistance in the recovery of tax claims.
The document envisages effective cooperation and information sharing between the tax authorities of Azerbaijan and Latvia, as well as collaboration in payment of tax debts and combatting tax evasion.
