On December 5, Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Alexandre Fasel, State Secretary at the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, on the margins of the 31st OSCE Ministerial Council in Valletta, Malta.
During the meeting, they discussed the prospects for bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Switzerland, as well as collaboration within the OSCE, including regional and international security matters.
FM Bayramov briefed Alexandre Fasel on the current regional situation during the post-conflict period and the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process. He emphasized that while progress has been made towards the signing of a peace treaty, Armenia's continued territorial claims against Azerbaijan are hindering the peace process.
They also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
