“I'm very happy to attend the COP29 as a representative of Cameroon. I want to express my appreciation for the warm welcome reserved to us and the hospitality of the people of Azerbaijan. The COP29 has been very well organized,” Jules Doret Ndongo, Minister of Forestry and Wildlife of Cameroon, told AZERTAC.
“In my country today, one of the problems we face is illegal logging, poaching, that is illegal hunting against white animals. Because at the ministry in charge of wildlife, we have to preserve fauna and their habitat. And we hope that at the end of the COP29 we shall have contacts with partners, donors, in order to get more financial assistance to solve our problem and to keep on with the sustainable management of natural resources,” he noted.
