Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan will sign a roadmap for energy cooperation on November 15 on the sidelines of the COP29 climate conference in Baku, Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev said in an exclusive interview with Report.
"I believe that COP29 has brought us closer together, specifically the relationship between the two energy ministries. I hope we will continue this work in close contact," said Ibraev.
He recalled that a memorandum of cooperation was previously signed between the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan.
"We are taking this opportunity to plan signing (on November 15) a roadmap between the energy ministries of the two countries. We have common interests. The Azerbaijani side has interests in the construction of hydroelectric power plants, wind farms, and solar stations. The Kyrgyz side has interest in equipment supplies," Ibraev said.
