Azerbaijan’s Victory and Flag Days marked in Chisinau

A solemn event marking the Victory Day and the Flag Day - the national holidays of Azerbaijan, was held in Chisinau, capital of Moldova.

Officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova and other government agencies, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Moldova, social activists, representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora, as well as former Prime Minister of Moldova, Chiril Gaburici, attended the event, organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Moldova.

The function started with the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Moldova.

Addressing the event, Azerbaijani Ambassador to the country, Ulvi Bakhshaliyev, noted that during the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of the victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the victorious Army liberated the territories, restoring the country`s territorial integrity.

The ambassador also provided an overview of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, large-scale reconstruction and reconstruction projects underway in the liberated territories.

The diplomat briefed participants on the history of the State Flag Day.

Ulvi Bakhshaliyev also highlighted the upcoming COP29 in Azerbaijan, underscoring that Azerbaijan pays special attention to combat climate change and its adverse impacts.

The event concluded with the screening of a documentary dedicated to the Victory.
