On September 29, Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev met with Tesfaye Wakjira, State Minister, Attorney General Division, Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

The press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported that Kamran Aliyev congratulated Wakjira on his appointment last December and highlighted the high level of cooperation with Ethiopia within the Non-Aligned Movement, noting that relations are strengthening daily.

Discussing the extensive reforms in Azerbaijan's prosecution agencies, Aliyev emphasized the role of the prosecution in combating crime and the importance of international collaboration. He underscored the significance of exchanging experiences between countries and the benefits of reciprocal visits among prosecution staff.

Aliyev also stressed the historical importance of hosting the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP29) in Azerbaijan, pointing out that such international events contribute significantly to fostering unity among nations.

He invited his Ethiopian counterpart to attend a high-level plenary meeting of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) scheduled in Baku on November 15.

Furthermore, Aliyev discussed the importance of strengthening ties between the prosecutorial and justice bodies of both countries and mentioned how initiatives under the "ASAN khidmet" concept positively influence the development of mutual relations.

The head of the Ethiopian delegation expressed gratitude for the warm reception and noted the favorable and sincere environment for the comprehensive development of bilateral relations.
