“As a parliamentarian, I am a member of the friendship group of all parties in Azerbaijan. We hold regular meetings, discuss issues related to Azerbaijan and relations between our countries,” Qurban Hussain, member at UK House of Lords, said at a press conference on the snap elections held in Azerbaijan.

He closely observed the election process in Shusha and Fuzuli, adding: "Based on my observations, I can say that the voting system and process in Azerbaijan is the same as in the United Kingdom. Voters freely approached the polling station with a document confirming their identity and voted secretly in the booths. People in the region seemed very happy. The Azerbaijani people - the former internally displaced persons in Karabakh are happy to participate in the voting process in their native land again after 30 years. I was also very pleased to see it. I also observed continuous participation in the elections. It was the first election process I watched outside the United Kingdom. However, everything about the election process was the same as in the United Kingdom."
