Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov cast his ballot at polling station No. 2 of the Sabail constituency No. 7 as parliamentary elections commenced across the country.
A total of 1,343 voters are registered at this polling station.
This election marks the first time parliamentary elections are being conducted across Azerbaijan's entire sovereign territory. A total of 6,478 polling stations have been set up nationwide, with 990 candidates competing for 125 seats. The electorate comprises 6,421,960 eligible voters.
Additionally, 54 polling stations have been established in the liberated territories.
The election process is being monitored by 598 international observers and 112,749 local observers. Voting will conclude at 7:00 PM.
