U.S. Department of State Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations Louis Bono visited Yerevan and Baku to discuss U.S. support for the peace process and how best to reach a durable and dignified peace,” the press service of the US Department of State said in response to inquiry of US-based AZERTAC bureau correspondent regarding the outcomes of the visit.

“As a standard, we do not discuss private meetings and as such, and will not preview what was discussed or any outcomes. That said, we consistently engage with Armenia and Azerbaijan and help facilitate these talks because we believe that direct dialogue is the key to reaching a final peace agreement. We have been encouraged by recent progress and want to keep up the momentum,” the U.S. Department of State added.
