During the meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen held in Brussels on April 5, the European Union and the U.S. have decided to provide assistance to Armenia. Although the information released in the media mentioned that only financial assistance would be rendered to Armenia, the real plans are to provide Armenia with weapons,” the Western Azerbaijan Community said in a statement.

“Today, a group of Azerbaijanophob members of the European Parliament, led by Nathalie Loiseau, appealed to U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen to render support in ensuring Armenia’s “security”. All this contributes to creating public background to render open military support for Armenia.

The Western Azerbaijan Community rejects the biased appeal of the members of the European Parliament, once again calls on the EU and the U.S. not to take steps that could aggravate the regional situation, and not to provide military support to Armenia. The EU and the U.S. must support Azerbaijan, which has suffered from destruction and mines planted on its lands, rather than Armenia, which is pursuing a militaristic policy, and promote the return of Western Azerbaijanis to the land of their ancestors,” the Community added.
