The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan Republic, Sabina Aliyeva met with residents of Armenian descent in Khankandi and visited a shelter created for vulnerable population groups, the Ombudsman Office told Report.
Aliyeva inquired about the state of ensuring the rights and freedoms of residents of Armenian descent, who live in the mentioned shelter and outside it and benefit from the services, and provided extended information about the powers of the Ombudsman. The ombudsman also inspected the food and social services provided to residents by psychologists and social workers.
The admitted persons expessed satisfaction with the attitude and the conditions created.
Posters containing information about the Ombudsman's 24-hour 916 Call Center were presented to the institution during the visit.
