The Armenian leadership wants to enter new dangerous geostrategic games in the South Caucasus. Guided by a number of Western political institutions, the Yerevan authorities forget that their new Western adventurism may not end well. These days, the ratification of the agreement between Yerevan and the European Union on the status of the EU civilian observation mission on the border with Azerbaijan and the increase of the number of mission participants from 138 to 209 people give reason to say this.

These views were expressed by Anar Turan, chairman of the National Center for Thought and Development.

He noted that this step, in fact, should be considered as an attempt by Pashinyan's government to get support from the United States and the European Union through the parliament. Although the Prime Minister of Armenia is playing a double game between Russia and the West, he does not want to make himself a direct target, so he takes this step through the parliament. But what is the purpose of this mission? In fact, is the goal clear? gathering information in the region under the name of surveillance, harming the relations between the countries, monitoring the relations between Russia, Iran, Turkey and Azerbaijan and slowing down the revolution of inter-country relations, harming the prospect of peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Of course, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that the monitoring mission of the European Union will be used more to intensify intrigues than to observe.

The chairman of the NGO added that Armenia should give up these adventurous dreams. Because the Armenian society has also seen the failures that this country has faced in recent years following such dreamy projects. In this regard, withdrawing from any provocative step and mission that may threaten peace in the region will primarily benefit Armenia. The Pashinyan government should think seriously about the interests of these missions and what deprivations they can lead Armenia to.
