During his visit to the People's Republic of China, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev has met with Sun Weidong, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China.
During the meeting, the sides described the meetings between the presidents of Azerbaijan and China, as well as the exchange of letters, as important factors in defining strategic development areas of the partnership between the two countries.
The two exchanged views on the bilateral relations across various domains, including upcoming issues related to COP29, cooperation for the Middle Corridor, and efforts towards peacebuilding in the South Caucasus region.
The parties also explored the prospects for comprehensive cooperation between Azerbaijan and China.
