The Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) can provide support for the operation of new solar and wind power plants in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
The issue was brought up for discussion at a meeting of the head of the board of the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) Samir Ahundov with Chief Executive Officer of TAQA’s Transmission and Distribution business Omar Al Hashmi and Director of Network Development and Investments of TAQA Gabriele Manduzio in Baku.
The parties in particular discussed the new law “On Electricity Industry,” which came into force in Azerbaijan on January 1, 2024. Information was also presented on the project to lay the Black Sea submarine cable between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Romania.
