On February 8, the observation mission of the Brazilian parliament held a press conference on the outcomes of the snap presidential election in Azerbaijan.

Emphasizing that they had come to Azerbaijan to observe the elections firsthand, Brazilian Senator Nelson Trad Filho added that during his observations, he witnessed a fully transparent and democratic process.

“We visited seven polling stations. During the observations, we noticed that the majority of voters were women. This is a very positive aspect,” said Senator Nelson Trad Filho.

Senator Carlos Alberto Dias Viana said that participation by women and young people in the electoral process is a very important issue. “Azerbaijan conducted the election very transparently. This is very important for the future of Azerbaijan,” he added.
