Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Azerbaijan Essam bin Saleh Al-Jutaili has met with the staff of the international magazine “My Azerbaijan”.
Editor-in-chief of the international magazine “My Azerbaijan”, corresponding member of the International Academy of Sciences Emil Nasirli highlighted the activities of the international magazine and the ongoing projects to improve information exchange with local and international organizations, as well as the achievements of the international magazine in the direction of its integration into world practice.
Editor-in-Chief Emil Nasirli said that the international magazine “My Azerbaijan,” which is one of the print media in the country that stands out for its activities, has been greeting its readers with interesting and informative articles for almost 20 years. “The magazine, whose main goal is the proper promotion of the country abroad, has improved and modernized its structure, development strategy, quality of printing and design, and has carried out multifaceted, effective work towards further cooperation with diaspora organizations and international institutions. Owing to this that the international magazine “My Azerbaijan”, as a monthly publication, has acquired a wide readership not only in the republic, but also in different countries of the world,” he noted.
Nasirli noted that the national press has made great progress in the past, and emphasized that all the steps and measures taken by President Ilham Aliyev towards the development of the media have made a special contribution to the development of the country's press. “Today, there is special government care and attention to the press, at the same time establishing freedom of speech, opinion and self-expression at the highest level, strengthening the material, technical and financial base of the press as well as the creation of favorable conditions for the effective activities of persons represented at the media institute and other similar factors should be assessed as fundamental factors determining the development of our national press.”
Emil Nasirli said that by decision of the editorial board of the international magazine “My Azerbaijan”, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Azerbaijan Essam bin Saleh al-Jutaili was elected an honorary member of the magazine, and presented the ambassador with an Honorary Membership Certificate.
Ambassador Essam bin Saleh al-Jutaili said that they follow with great interest the colorful materials published on the pages of the international magazine “My Azerbaijan”, and thanked the members of the editorial board of the magazine for awarding him the title of Honorary Member. Ambassador Essam bin Saleh al-Jutaili noted that the media plays such an important role in the implementation of political-economic, cultural-historical, religious-national processes and in the structure of various social institutions of society that without them normal development of society is impossible. “The media are actively involved in the creation of a humanistic society, which is the main direction of human development.”
Then, in the main premises of the editorial office, Ambassador Essam bin Saleh al-Jutaili got acquainted with a photo stand reflecting the activities of the international magazine “My Azerbaijan” in recent years.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the importance of expanding relations between the Embassy and the international magazine “My Azerbaijan” towards increasing information exchange, as well as the importance of these relations in facilitating the use of the necessary funds to promote the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Azerbaijan and the country in Saudi Arabia.
Then Ambassador Essam bin Saleh al-Jutaili, as the first guest of the international magazine “My Azerbaijan” in 2024, wrote the first heartfelt words of 2024 in the “Book of Honor” of the magazine.
