"Armenian heritage" of Garegin II and Kostania in Karabakh

Preservation of Armenian cultural heritage in Karabakh. Armenian authorities always bring up such a nonsense issue. Two pieces of information were published yesterday. One of the information is the statement of Vahan Kostanya, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. Another piece of information is about the visit of Catholicos II Garegi, who is called the Supreme Patriarch of Armenia, to Great Britain.

At first glance, it may seem strange that both a religious and an official person of the country spoke about the same issue at the same time, but in fact, there is nothing to be surprised about. Because the state and religion are intertwined in Armenia. More precisely, the second puts a bag on the head of the first and drags it in the desired direction. This has been the case throughout history, and the situation has not changed now.

Yes, there are many examples to prove that the church plays an important role in determining the state policy in Armenia. We believe that it is important for the confirmation of this fact that Kostanya and II Gareghi spoke about the Armenian heritage of Karabakh. But we don't pay attention to the issue just because of that. That is, we will take a look at the two disseminated information also because of the points in their content.

But first of all, let us say that it seems that there is no trace left of the power struggle between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Garegin II, which is said to have crossed the borders of the country. At one time, Nicole's supporters spoke about her actions against the rules of social behavior of the Catholicos, her impoliteness, her immorality, and her sexual orientation disorder in social networks. Now such rhetoric has been put to an end. It seems that the Armenian government prefers to return to the past and organizes its activities according to "traditional" stereotypes.

Speaking of returning to the past, the Administrative Court of Armenia recently lifted the ban on two Armenians whose entry into the country was restricted after Pashinyan came to power. This means that the Armenian government is taking advantage of the old lobby and diaspora remnants. Apparently, in the example of Karegi II, the Catholicos, also from disgrace in the name of religion.

Algarez, V. Kostanyan told journalists that preservation of Armenian cultural heritage in Karabakh is always on the agenda of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. This should not be considered an ordinary matter, without a doubt. Because the official Iravan has changed the motive of the policy of extortion, which it is currently adhering to at the state level. So to speak, he moved to monumentalism. Officials of the country, raising a clamor on almost all international platforms, state that Azerbaijan is allegedly encroaching on the Armenian heritage in Karabakh and other territories freed from occupation (they consider it usurped - ed.). Before the local anti-terrorist measures, the target of the Armenian authorities was other regions that were freed from the occupation, but after the full restoration of Azerbaijan's sovereignty, Pashinyan and his team went directly to Karabakh.

Armenia raises the claim of confirmation of Armenian ownership of various monuments on the territory of Azerbaijan in international courts. Imagine that the land is our country, Yerevan wants the building on it to be approved as an Armenian monument. This is not an ordinary matter. Armenia is making "plans" for the future. If the monument belongs to Armenia, then in the future it is possible to state that the land on which it stands is also Armenian territory. In any case, this is a product of sick Armenian thinking. At the same time, this wasteful thinking keeps the issue on the agenda to make revanchist ideas come true, to give those ideas legal clothes. It is believed that Armenia will become stronger at some point, will return the lost territories, and then the current issue will become a means of justifying the occupation from a legal point of view. For example, it will be said that if the monument belongs to Armenians, then the land should also belong to them.

Yes, this is the purpose of the international confusion about the Armenian heritage in Karabakh. Therefore, Armenia does not give up its plans of aggression against Azerbaijan. That is, in the present case, the country is turning moral issues into a tool for its adventurist policy. Let's pay attention to what Kostyanyan says: "The issue of preserving the cultural heritage of Karabakh is always on our agenda, and this issue is raised both in the executive body of UNESCO and in other relevant departments. If you remember, in December 2020, the UNESCO Executive Council decided that a fact-finding mission should be sent to Karabakh to monitor the general situation and the condition of cultural heritage monuments on the spot.

Catholicos II Garegin is like the Armenian government. Even a bit cheeky. Thus, in his meeting with the head of the Anglican Church, Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, within the framework of his patriarchal visit to the diocese of the Armenian Church of Great Britain and Ireland, he touched on the "issues of preservation of the Armenian cultural heritage in Karabakh" in addition to the "problems faced by the forcibly displaced Armenians from Karabakh". Of course, he did not forget to use his anti-Azerbaijani views in the current issue.

It is possible to come to the conclusion that the Armenian authorities, faced with the situation of becoming a toy in the hands of the Armenian Church, cannot behave constructively in relation to Azerbaijan. Also because the source of Armenian adventurism is the church. Of course, currently, so to speak, there are various forms of becoming a tool, one of which is to lay claim to the monuments in Karabakh, and to form a negative opinion against Azerbaijan about their alleged destruction.

In fact, the Armenian government, with its current behavior, does nothing but show its vandalism in the name of Azerbaijan against the mosques, buildings, and cemeteries in the territories of Azerbaijan, which the country has kept under occupation for years. Locals of Kostania and Garegii II tied pigs to mosques. Azerbaijanis did not insult any religious monument. It is Armenia that has erased the Turkish cultural heritage from the face of the earth in the capital Yerevan and in various regions of the country. The Armenian church is preserved in the capital of Azerbaijan. It is possible to highlight other facts in the present case. Also to recall the most diverse issues reflecting the Armenian vandalism. Moreover, there is an important point that Armenia and Armenians claim everything related to Azerbaijan and Turks in their name, they also claim the ancient Albanian religious and cultural heritage, including Christian religious monuments, in their name. It has been like this throughout history, and it is like this now, and there are enough facts to support our opinion.
