Ahead of the upcoming snap presidential election in the Republic of Azerbaijan scheduled for February 7, the distribution of ballot papers to district election commissions has today started at the Printing House of Mili Majlis (Parliament).
The process involves members of the Central Election Commission, employees of the Secretariat, as well as chairpersons and secretaries of the relevant district election commissions.
The process has been executed in an open and transparent manner, ensuring that all conditions are in place for international organizations, election observation missions, media representatives, and election stakeholders to closely monitor the proceedings.
On the first day, the ballot papers will be disseminated among the 36 constituencies, including constituencies in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, in the liberated territories and the remote regions of the republic, while the second day will see the distribution of the ballot papers to other constituencies throughout the country.
The printing of voting ballots for the upcoming snap presidential election officially began in Azerbaijan on January 24 and by the decision of the Commission 6,524,203 ballots were printed.
