Netanya, Israel hosts event dedicated to Great Leader Heydar Aliyev

An event dedicated to the centennial anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern state of Azerbaijan was held at the Central Library in Netanya, Israel.

 

Lev Spivak, board member of the Israel-Azerbaijan International Association (AzIz), director of Azerbaijan Culture Center Yegana Salman, and Isaiah Skvirsky, an honorary citizen of Baku and famous engineer, spoke at the event. The presentation featured information about a book in Hebrew dedicated to Heydar Aliyev and the encyclopedic collection "Blooming of Azerbaijani Judaism," which drew significant interest from the attendees.

 

Speakers shared their memories about Azerbaijan and Heydar Aliyev.

 

Singers Leyla Vakilova and Mayuel Isakov performed songs dedicated to Heydar Aliyev as well as Azerbaijan.

 

A photo exhibition on "Heydar Aliyev and the Jews of Azerbaijan" debuted as part of the event.

 

Participants of the event signed a special petition on behalf of "AzIz" who also declared their support for the decision to hold a snap presidential election in Azerbaijan.
