Guba is home to the oldest Jewish community in the Caucasus, Nathalie Goulet, a member of the French Senate, said in a comment on Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Iran Ali Alizada’s X post, Report informs.
"Guba is a beautiful district where Jews have historically lived compactly. It probably is home to the oldest Jewish community in the Caucasus," Goulet said.
