Brilliant deeds, wise decisions, titanic struggle of the great personality Heydar Aliyev for the sake of the happiness of our people and the strengthening of our state have been forever engraved in our centuries-old history as an unparalleled example of leadership and civic virtue.
Our people, who value the name of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, rightly associate it with the independent state of Azerbaijan. The historical role of the genius leader in the fate of our state and people, the greatness of the rescue mission becomes more clear as time goes by, and our victorious and powerful country confidently and proudly steps towards the great future in the light of this picture.
In 2023, which was declared the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on September 29, 2022, the dreams and ideas of the national leader came true, and the holy spirit of the great leader was once again happy. It was in the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" that under the leadership of our honorable President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, new and bright pages of our history of rise and victory were written - the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country was fully ensured, and our constitutional structure was established in all our territories. The raising of the national flag of Azerbaijan in Khankendi, Aghdera, Khojaly, Askeran, Khojavend by Supreme Commander-in-Chief Muzaffar, which we have longed for for years, brought additional grandeur to the "Year of Heydar Aliyev".
The world-famous statesman Heydar Aliyev is such a phenomenal personality that over time, his rich heritage, socio-political activity, the results of his historical decisions in the most complex and contradictory circumstances repeatedly attract the attention of researchers, the meaningful life of a wise leader and rich statecraft is studied in depth. Each time, new nuances and moments of this rich heritage, unparalleled activity aimed at the welfare of the people and the state emerge.
National leader Heydar Aliyev said in one of his speeches: "My life's purpose was to serve Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani people, our statehood, the economic, political, and spiritual development of our country, which I love with all my being." This difficult, but at the same time, honorable mission covers a long way from the years when the great leader started working in the special services, led our republic, to the establishment of the foundations of independent Azerbaijan and finally to the progress and development of our independent state. The people of Azerbaijan are happy that the worthy follower of the father of the nation, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev led that historical path to our historic Victory in the 44-day Patriotic War and to the unparalleled construction work carried out today in our free Karabakh. The holy path defined by the great leader Heydar Aliyev with his wisdom, clarified and illuminated by his bright and good deeds continues even today.
The main goal of the policy of the unforgettable leader was to bring peace, stability and sustainable development to Azerbaijan and the region. Today, the victorious and powerful President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, fulfills that mission with honor, and makes determined efforts to restore eternal peace in the region where our country is the unequivocal leader. The policy of philanthropy and humanism of the genius leader is being successfully continued. The continuity of the wise policy implemented by the founder of the independent state for the sake of the stability of our country and the region is ensured.
The many thousands of employees and students of the Baku State University, which the mighty son of our nation Heydar Aliyev raised his name and fame to the heights with the words "I am very happy that I am a graduate of Baku State University" and called it "the national wealth and national pride of the Azerbaijan people, the Republic of Azerbaijan", and the students of this higher school are also world famous continues his consistent efforts in the field of studying and promoting the rich heritage of his graduate Heydar Aliyev. Our multi-thousand-strong team feels the infinite joy and pride of being whole, powerful, victorious, citizens of Azerbaijan that liberated Karabakh and held the Victory Parade in Khankendi.
Prezident İlham Əliyevin müvafiq sərəncamı ilə 2023-cü ilin ölkəmizdə “Heydər Əliyev İli” elan edilməsi BDU kollektivinin üzərinə böyük məsuliyyət qoymuşdur. Ulu öndərin zəngin irsinin təbliğini, bu irsin gənc nəslə aşılanmasını özünün ali məqsədi hesab edən universitetimizin professor-müəllim heyəti, tələbələrimiz “Heydər Əliyev İli”ndə bu istiqamətdə səylərini daha da artırmışdır. Bu məqsədlə Bakı Dövlət Universitetinin Elmi Şurasında Tədbirlər Planı qəbul olunmuşdur. Tədbirlər Planında müstəqil Azərbaycan dövlətinin memarı Heydər Əliyevin misilsiz, çoxşaxəli fəaliyyəti ilə bağlı beynəlxalq elmi konfransların keçirilməsi, fundamental kitabların hazırlanması, xüsusi mühazirələrin və dərslərin təşkili olunması, müxtəlif müsabiqə və festivalların keçirilməsi və s. kimi mühüm tədbirlər öz əksini tapmışdır.
Universitetin və ölkəmizin nüfuzlu alimlərinin, ictimai-siyasi, ədəbiyyat və incəsənət xadimlərinin iştirakı ilə təşkil olunan silsilə xüsusi mühazirələrdə, ustad dərslərində, dəyirmi masalarda tələbə gənclərə xalqımızı ağır sınaqlardan siyasi müdriklik və məharətlə, əzm və iradə ilə, dühasının və idrakının yenilməz gücü ilə çıxarmış, dövlət müstəqilliyinə, tərəqqiyə və dayanıqlı inkişafa qovuşdurmuş qüdrətli dövlət başçısı Heydər Əliyevin çoxşaxəli və zəngin fəaliyyəti, onun milləti, xalqı qarşısında misilsiz xidmətləri haqqında ətraflı məlumat verilir.
All the successes of our people and our state since the 70s of the last century are based on the wise policy, bright deeds and bright face of the phenomenal personality Heydar Aliyev.
