Azerbaijani delegation honors National Leader Heydar Aliyev in Istanbul

The Azerbaijani delegation has visited the monument of national leader of Azerbaijan in the Heydar Aliyev Park in Sariyer district of Istanbul, Türkiye, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the death of the Great Leader.

 

In attendance were notable figures, including Consul General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul Narmina Mustafayeva, Mayor of Sariyer Municipality of Istanbul Sukru Genc, as well as employees from Sariyer Municipality, consulate, diplomats, officials, intellectuals, and representatives from mass media and non-governmental organizations.

 

In her address at the ceremony, Consul General Narmina Mustafayeva underscored the unparalleled significance of Heydar Aliyev for Azerbaijan and the entire Turkic world. She highlighted the pivotal role played by the Great Leader during the most challenging periods in Azerbaijan's history, asserting that the steps taken by him laid the essential foundations for the strong Azerbaijan.

 

Sukrü Genç pointed out the extraordinary contribution of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader to the Turkic solidarity.

 

The event participants paid tribute to the Great Leader, and laid wreaths and flowers at his monument.

 

They also put flowers at the bust of the founder of the Republic of Türkiye Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
