“We are implementing one of the most ambitious restoration efforts in the world in our liberated territories,” said Anar Guliyev, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during his speech at the official closing press conference of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13).
He stated that, in order to ensure the safe and dignified return of former internally displaced persons (IDPs) to their lands, master plans for nearly 110 cities, towns and villages have already been approved, while plans for other settlements are currently being prepared.
