Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan Vladyslav Kanevskyi has visited the grave of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor, Report informs.
In a statement to journalists, the ambassador noted that Heydar Aliyev laid the foundations of true friendship between Ukraine and Azerbaijan.
“It was under him that the strategic friendship between our countries arose. There is mutual love and respect between the Azerbaijani and Ukrainian peoples. Therefore, it is a great honor for us to pay tribute to the blessed memory of Heydar Aliyev, this is our duty,” Kanevskyi added.
