Azerbaijan highly appreciates the mediation efforts of the EU Council President Charles Michel in the normalization process with Armenia, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said as he met with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, EU Commission Vice President Josep Borrell.
According to Report, Minister Bayramov emphasized that the biased statements of some EU officials undermine EU's role as an impartial mediator in this process.
The foreign minister noted that the establishment of good neighborly relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, based on mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, is the only path to peace, stability and tranquility in the South Caucasus.
