"Armenia should pay compensation to Azerbaijan for mine terrorism".

XQ reports that Sabina Aliyeva, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Ombudsman), said this during her speech at the round table on "Protection of persons with disabilities and landmine victims in Azerbaijan" held in Baku on December 4.

According to him, burying anti-tank and anti-personnel mines is a war crime: "International organizations and courts should support bringing the perpetrators of this crime to justice. Armenia should pay us compensation for mine terrorism."

S. Aliyeva noted that mines were mostly buried in cemeteries: "Because they know that it is in our mentality to visit cemeteries. Therefore, Armenians mainly buried mines in the houses and cemeteries belonging to our citizens in the territories they occupied at that time."
