The Russian newspaper “Kommersant” has published an article highlighting President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s visit to the city of Khankendi.
The article mentioned that the raising of the Azerbaijan’s national flag in Khankendi on October 15 put an end to the history of "Armenian" Karabakh.
The author mentioned that the 20th anniversary of Ilham Aliyev's election as the President of Azerbaijan was marked by symbolic events. The Azerbaijani leader raised the country’s national flag in Khankendi and other cities of Karabakh.
The article also touched upon the peace treaty, saying that after the resolution of the Karabakh conflict, the two neighbouring countries are facing the important issue – the signing of a peace treaty.
