Head of Presidential Administration: Azerbaijan has forced military junta to raise the white flag as a result of anti-terrorist measures that lasted less than 24 hours

“Neither the leadership of Armenia, nor the leaders of the military junta in Karabakh had ever thought that a day would come when Azerbaijan would regain its control not only over Aghdam, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Zangilan, Gubadli, Kalbajar, Lachin and Shusha, but also over Khankendi, Aghdara, Khojaly, Khojavand, and the separatists who had committed crimes against Azerbaijanis would be brought to account before the Azerbaijani court,” said Head of the Presidential Administration Samir Nuriyev during his speech at the conference themed "20 years of Unparalleled Service to Motherland, People and Statehood" in Baku.

“On September 20, 2023, as a result of local anti-terrorist measures that lasted less than 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan destroyed all the remains and military infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Armenia in that area and forced the military junta to raise the white flag. After that, the separatists had no choice but to dissolve themselves,” Samir Nuriyev added.

The Head of the Presidential Administration emphasized that under the leadership of Victorious Commander-in-Chief, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan had once again demonstrated their professionalism and the ability to perform the tasks set before them at the highest level both during the Patriotic War and local anti-terrorist measures.
