Azerbaijan to open permanent exhibition at Uzbekistan's State History Museum

Director of the Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Uzbekistan Akif Marifli met with Director of the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan Jannat Ismailova.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of museum activities, prospects for bilateral cultural cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint exhibitions and scientific-educational projects.

The sides hailed the fact that Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are deepening humanitarian ties as part of a strategic partnership, which is being further strengthened by the policies of President Ilham Aliyev and President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. They also highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation in promoting the rich historical and cultural heritage of both nations, as well as elevating inter-museum cooperation to a new level.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to establish a permanent exhibition section at the State Museum of History of Uzbekistan dedicated to the history, culture, and statehood traditions of Azerbaijan. This project, initiated by the Cultural Center named after Heydar Aliyev, involves curating the collection and providing Azerbaijani exhibits for permanent display at the museum.
