Baku hosts exhibition and parade of classic cars

Baku hosted a parade and an exhibition of classic cars on Sunday.

The traditional event was co-organized by the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation (AAF), the Baku City Circuit Operations Company, and the Dreamland Golf Club.

The event commenced with an exhibition of classic automobiles at the Baku Seaside Boulevard, featuring vintage vehicles registered for the event, as well as automobiles displayed at the Heydar Aliyev Center.

Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Anar Alakbarov, President of the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation, Eldar Azizov, Head of the Baku City Executive Authority, along with prominent figures and local residents, attended the exhibition.

This year’s parade showcased vehicles produced before 1984, including a “Mercedes Benz Gazelle” from 1929.

The rally route started from the Baku Seaside Boulevard and included Neftchilar Avenue, White City, Heydar Aliyev Center, Heydar Aliyev Avenue, Airport highway, and Zigh highway, concluding at the Dreamland Golf Club.

The event also featured an award ceremony with categories such as “The most unique automobile” and “The most colorful outfit”.
