He was four months old, his mother's eyes were traveling,
He didn't have any other problems, his son was his problem...
When Suleyman Rustam's poem "Mother and Postman" was played by an elderly actress on Azerbaijani television, everyone stopped paying attention. The poem seems to have been written for his high-pitched voice. The interesting aspect was that the actress, who is a Russian national, sang the poem in our language with a special color. She was Vera Shirye, actress of Russian Drama Theater named after Samad Vurgun.
Her father, Mirza Sattarov, brought her up as his own daughter. He instilled in the young girl a love for the Azerbaijani language, culture, and theater. Then Vera had a sister, named Leyla. Leyla was a doctor by profession, an Honored doctor, the first female deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the republic. Vera was awarded the honorary title of People's Artist of Azerbaijan.
The actress used to deliver the letters written and given to her by the soldiers without hesitation. Especially the letters from Baku.
Vera Shirye was also lucky enough to perform at the Victory Day in Moscow. But during the speech, tears and joy were mixed together on her face, because at that time Vera received the "black paper" of her husband. His performance was taken very naturally as he added melancholy and fragile emotions to his speech.
Among the characters created by Vera Shiryen on the Baku stage are Nadejda Durova ("Nadejda Durova", Laurencia ("Fuente ovexuna"), Melania ("Children of the Sun"), Mother ("All My Sons"), Shahrabanu Khanum ("Monsieur Jordan Darvish"). Mastali Shah"), Queen Elizabeth ("Maria Stewart"), Teresa ("Teresa's Birthday") and others were memorable and are still remembered. In total, he played more than 200 roles.
Everyone knew and loved him. His love for Azerbaijan was reciprocated by the love of all Azerbaijan.
Vera Shirye was awarded with the "Independence" order of independent Azerbaijan along with numerous awards she received during the Soviet era. He was one of the first representatives of culture and art to receive the President's individual scholarship.
Head of the country Heydar Aliyev personally congratulated Vera Shirye on her 85th birthday by phone. From the letter of the great leader: "Your contributions to the success of the Russian theater, which has rich traditions in our republic, have been achieved. On the stage of this theater, you have been able to skillfully combine theater trends, which consist of different poles and are clearly distinguished from each other, in your creativity. It is thanks to this. due to the mastery and originality of your performance, you were able to create classic characters that entered the history of literary theater. Your hard work in the unshakable development of Azerbaijani-Russian cultural relations is highly appreciated."
People's artist Vera Shirye died on May 1, 2003 at the age of 88 in Baku. He was buried in the Alley of Honor.
