Scientists have been able to determine the identity of human remains in 3 tombs belonging to the family of Alexander the Great. The tombs are located in the Great Vergina Mound in northern Greece.

According to new information, there are the remains of Alexander's father, stepmother and brothers, as well as his son. "Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports" published information about it.

The second tomb contained the remains of a man and a woman who often rode horses during their lifetime. According to scholars, they belonged to Alexander's half-brother King Arrideus and his wife, Adea Eurydice, a "woman warrior".

Researchers believe that Alexander IV, the son of Alexander the Great, who died as a child, was buried in the third tomb.
