A delegation from AZERTAC, led by Chairman of the Board Vugar Aliyev, visited Baku State University (BSU) to discuss cooperation and joint projects.
During the meeting, BSU Rector Elchin Babayev highlighted recent innovations at the university, emphasizing the importance of domestic and international collaboration and engagement with employers. He described the Faculty of Journalism as a key institution for training journalists in Azerbaijan, noting its strong partnerships with media organizations such as the Media Development Agency, the Audiovisual Council, and the Press Council. He also mentioned the establishment of dedicated media rooms for MEDIA, the Press Council, "ARB24," and "Khalq Gazeti," which provide student journalists with practical experience.
Rector Babayev stressed the value of collaborating with AZERTAC, Azerbaijan’s leading news agency, particularly in strengthening the country's information security.
Vugar Aliyev, in turn, outlined AZERTAC’s operations, highlighting its news broadcasting in eight languages and its partnerships with 60 news agencies worldwide. He emphasized the agency’s commitment to renewing its personnel base and prioritizing young talent, stating that cooperation with BSU would be mutually beneficial.
The meeting focused on enhancing collaboration between the two institutions and exploring new joint projects.
