The identities of another 73 people whose remains were found in mass graves in the liberated Azerbaijani territories will be made public soon, reads an article by the head of the State Security Service, Colonel General Ali Naghiyev, published in the Respublika newspaper, Report informs.
He noted that in coordination with the State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Citizens, active work continues to clarify the fate of 3,890 citizens listed as missing during the First Karabakh War.
“Work also continues to identify places of mass graves in the territories liberated from occupation. The remains found to this day are exhumed and identified. It was possible to identify the remains of 107 people who were previously considered missing. The names of 34 of them have already been presented to the public, including a security officer, the national hero of Azerbaijan Riyad Ahmadov, who went missing in January 1992 during the Dashalti operation. The names of the remaining 73 people will be made public in the coming days,” he wrote.
