The Azerbaijani diaspora in Moscow has arranged an event to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the battles of Stalingrad and Kursk.
The event, held at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, was attended by public figures, representatives of political organizations, veterans and cadets of the Diplomatic school.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of Azerbaijani National Cultural Autonomy Ali Kazimov highlighted the work done to educate the young generation in the spirit of patriotism. He noted that the peoples of the USSR, including Azerbaijanis, made a decisive contribution to defeating fascism.
