Economic and trade relations are the key areas of relations between Belarus and Azerbaijan. Our countries are committed to fostering mutually beneficial trade. At the core of our economic partnership lie machine-building, agriculture, wood processing, food supply, pharmaceuticals, and mutual investment, Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich told AZERTAC.
"Our joint projects will become the main trend of mutual trade and services in the near future. One of our major projects is the assembly of Belarus machinery at the Ganja Automobile Plant. Since 2007, 14,000 Belarus tractors have been assembled at this plant. In addition, combines, trucks, electric buses, and fire-rescue equipment have also been assembled. This year, an elevator manufacturing plant was opened in Baku on the basis of the “Vertus” company. In the near future, a project for the production of various municipal equipment will be launched on the basis of MAZ. Production projects for mobile medical complexes and trade pavilions, including for rural settlements and the Karabakh region, will also be implemented,” Ambassador Dmitry Pinevich added.
