In 2024, 23 new small business entities were created in Azerbaijan's liberated territories, which is 35.3% more compared to 2023,
By the end of last year, 5.7%, or 12,026 of the 212,705 operating commercial organizations in the country were small business entities, marking an increase of 2,317 units, or 23.9% year-on-year (YoY).
In 2024, 73%, or 8,782 of the total small business entities operated in Baku. This is 29.4% more compared to the previous year.
In addition, there were 197 small business entities in Azerbaijan’s Karabakh economic region (8.2% more YoY) and 51 in the East Zangazur economic region (15.9% more YoY).
