Chairman of SCC: Middle Corridor in spotlight of global trade, transport systems

Recent global events have highlighted the significance of the Middle Corridor, drawing attention to its role not only within the region but also in global trade and transport systems, said Shahin Baghirov, Chairman of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan, Report informs.

Baghirov made the remark during the 10th Meeting of the Heads of Customs Administrations of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Baku.

Bagirov emphasized the importance of this corridor in diversifying trade costs and providing more reliable transport routes.

"The volume of transportation through the Middle Corridor has increased significantly, demonstrating its enhanced functionality and attractiveness. The Middle Corridor plays a key and driving role in current and future cooperation between the Turkic States," he noted.
