Energy Minister of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov has visited China at the invitation of Zhang Jianhua, head of the National Energy Administration of the People's Republic of China, Report informs.

The minister will participate in the 3rd Belt and Road Energy Ministers Conference to be held in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China on October 23-24.

The Ministers Conference, organized under the theme "Bringing Innovation for a Shared Energy Future," is expected to discuss cooperation on energy security, development of energy markets, latest technological innovations applied in the green energy sector, and exploration of financial opportunities for promoting green energy.

The Energy Minister is scheduled to participate and speak at the opening ceremony of the Ministers Conference, as well as at the Forum titled "Strengthening cooperation in mutual energy coordination for further diversification of energy supply."

Within the framework of the visit, Shahbazov is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with the heads of Chinese companies in Beijing.
