Energy holds a special place in bilateral cooperation between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan, Bulgarian Energy Minister Vladimir Malinov said at the 6th meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria in Baku, Report informs.
“Azerbaijan is a strategic energy partner of Bulgaria. I would like to note the regular and constructive dialogue between the energy ministries of the two countries. We express our sincere gratitude to Azerbaijan for supporting the efforts of the Bulgarian government to diversify sources and volumes of supplies,” Malinov said.
He noted that Bulgaria is ready to work to increase the potential of the Southern Gas Corridor.
He added that the opening of the SOCAR office in the capital of Bulgaria played a significant role in the development of energy partnership between the two countries.
